Brian Devine, CSWA

Therapist

Brian is a Clinical Social Work Associate with experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Supportive PACE.

Brian recently completed his Master of Social Work from Portland State University, where he interned with the Lifeworks NW EASA program and NW Anxiety Institute, providing counseling services for youth and adult clients experiencing psychosis, depression, anxiety, OCD, relationship challenges and trauma.

Brian is excited to help kids, teens and young adults understand their feelings, confront their challenges and find greater health and happiness.

Prior to becoming a therapist, Brian served as an educator and vice principal at the middle and high school level. During that time, he recognized a passion for partnering with families to cultivate the personal growth of young people. It was this passion that led him to his second career as a therapist.

As a longtime educator, Brian believes strongly in the power of collaborative relationships to cultivate learning and personal growth. He has a strong conviction in every person’s internal capacities and strengths to initiate a positive change in themselves. Brian’s goal as a therapist is to help young people guide their own healing and uncover their unrecognized potential.

Brian lives in SE Portland, where he loves to create art, trail run, play guitar and explore the Pacific Northwest with his wife, daughter and golden doodle.
