Alyssa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has experience in TF-CBT and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for children and young adults. Alyssa’s career has included work in child welfare, mental health and medical social work. Alyssa enjoys working with older teens and young adults facing new life transitions.
Drawing from her medical background, Alyssa also takes interest in supporting new mothers and parents of infants in the NICU. Alyssa offers a safe and trusting environment to explore thoughts, feelings and behaviors and offers practical and structured solutions. She listens gently and enjoys instilling confidence in her clients.
Alyssa resides in NE Portland with her husband, son, two cats and chickens. She grew up in Eastern Oregon, and has been a Portland resident for most of her adult life. She enjoys live music, the outdoors, spending time with family and friends, running and is an avid knitter.
