FAQ
What is your mission?
Restore aims to extend the highest level of patient centered mental health care available to vulnerable populations through the delivery of evidence-based clinical care, responsive and collaborative communication with health care providers and sustainable business practices.
We have a special focus to provide a quality experience to clients with medicaid.
Who do you serve?
Restore is a generalist practice that serves the life span. Each therapist specializes in specific treatment models and ages. We also provide child, adolescent and adult psychiatry services.
What is your business model?
Restore allows clinicians to generate the most income with commission based pay. This means a therapist gets paid a fee per session and monthly income can slightly fluctuate from month to month. Restore works with both independent contractors and employees. Part of our Restore, our company mission is to support a sustainable and healthy work-life balance for clinicians. This includes a need to spend less time working while maximizing income so we can provide and focus on our individual needs outside of work.
What is it like to work at Restore?
Restore hires licensed therapists who have clinical specialties whom they feel passionate about working with. The environment is both autonomous and supportive with a full administrative team so therapists can focus on their clinical work. We serve most of our clients via telehealth and some in the office. Clinicians are supported to choose their own clients and create their own work hours. Typically this looks like 3-4 days per week 19-27 clients per month. Our team is small and dedicated to the work and many of us have been with the practice we started in 2015. Many of us on the team have been connected as colleagues in other job settings.
What are the benefits for employees?
Restore offers a full benefit package of medical, dental, life and disability insurance. We also offer a 401k benefit with an employer matching program. Employees maintain flexible schedules and typically take off 2 weeks per year of approved leave. Restore does offer a training budget. Independent contractors do not receive any benefits or incentives.
What does a transition to private practice look like?
At Restore, onboarding is scheduled for a two week period where we offer a “soft start”. During these two weeks, clinicians are trained in our systems and offer care to 1-2 clients. After that, our goal is to have collaborated with the clinician ahead of time to have a full schedule of clients pre-booked. We like to allow about 3 months for a full transition to having a full time schedule.
What about credentialing?
Typically there is a three month credentialing period to work with our insurance companies CareOregon, Kaiser, PacificSource and Trillium. Restore often will start practitioner credentialing prior to leaving their current position and prior to onboarding which allows for a faster transition.
Do you hire unlicensed therapists?
We are currently in the process of obtaining a Certificate of Approval from the state of Oregon so unlicensed therapists can see CareOregon clients. This is expected to be complete late fall 2022. You may apply if you do not have a license.
